My website used to be titled, “A Leap of Faith.”

I explained here how my blog was a leap of faith for me because I wanted to write novels, but I was afraid to put myself out there. I started the blog, this website, long before I’d ever completed my first novel, and I did it to give myself confidence.

I’ve struggled with changing the ‘about me’ section over the last year, because it was a little bittersweet to see the end of an era, well, come to an end.

But it has.

Creating my blog was intended to be a step in the right direction. I took that step then, and now it’s time to take another one. This website’s not just for the blogger anymore, it’s also for the author. The soon-to-be-published-author.

So instead of being sad that the name and description have changed, I’m going to celebrate it. Because that small step I took years ago, has gotten me to this place. And that’s amazing!

So what you’ll see here? Oh, don’t worry. I’ll continue to blog about my life and all the things that happen along the way. This writing journey I’m on isn’t over; it’s just evolving. And the cool part is, now I get to add all the awesome books I write to this website as well!

Much love,

    Hi Heather,
I greatly admire your determination to reach for your dreams!
I’ve been afraid of failure most of my life, as I’m sure many of us have, but we aren’t really living if we’re too afraid to take risks, are we? I wish you well on your journey πŸ™‚

I’d thought I would leave a cool quote from Michael Jordan:

“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

    Have a great day,

Awesome, love the courage! I can relate to shy and terrified of failure but learning to step into scary. Writing really has made me so much bolder and braver. It’s a great tool!!!!

You will enjoy blogging. I had to increase my computer literacy and learn how to draw and post my cartoons from hard copy when I started. I have met so many delightful people and we really have become part of each other’s lives. Merry Christmas.
